Gadsden Toy Lending Library

Mundo de Juguetes is the new Toy Lending Library in the Gadsden area of Doña Ana County! Toy Lending Libraries are a robust resource that offers families and early childhood providers access to free, culturally responsive, developmentally supportive toys and books. As a library, families and providers can check out and exchange items as children grow, alleviating the possible financial burden of giving children access to high-quality educational toys. We currently only have the capacity to be open Thursdays 10am-3pm, but hope to expand our hours in the future!

Equity is woven into the fiber and framework of the Success Partnership. As such, we focus intensely on ensuring resources are equally distributed across our county. Mundo de Juguetes is an extraordinary accomplishment toward this end, allowing Gadsden area partners to collaborate and nurture early childhood success in the southern community. This invaluable resource touches on many goals outlined in the Early Childhood Education Coalition’s five-year Strategic Plan.

About the Gadsden Chapter

The Doña Ana County Early Childhood Education (DACECE) Coalition and the Gadsden ECE Coalition (now known as the Gadsden Chapter of the ECE Coalition) have been elevating providers and families by removing barriers and strengthening them through support and connection. With the creation of the New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD), the DACECE Coalition and the Gadsden ECE Coalition were able to enter into a shared grant to join forces and unite, bolstering ECE efforts across the county, increasing the partnerships and collaboration efforts exponentially.
